does anyone know why windows keeps showing an icon on the side of the clock as if there was no internet ?! But it works ...

This maybe related to the Windows DNS cache that keeps keexybox IP for www.msftconnecttest.com domain. The domain www.msftconnecttest.com is an address used by Windows to detect a captive portal.
